No. I’m not talking about Chinese astrology. 2024 equals revering influential women. Women, already known, publicly displayed, putting themselves out there. Women, not afraid to take on scrutiny for speaking about what they believe is right or fair.
Kamala Harris supports ideas, agendas, policies and beliefs that enable females to strengthen, expand and meet the expectations of their options. In short, she consistently pushes to encourage and support diverse individuals into finding his/her own path and create a positive life experience for themselves.
Hillary Clinton proved to be a viable leader long before she ran for the democratic presidential ticket in 2016. Her deftness to understanding common decency and promoting loyalty with those closest to her proves her intentions to help those who need assistance most are ingrained in her strong character.
Nancy Pelosi may not be a household name if you don’t regularly follow politics. But, if you take time to research her background and career it’s easy to find ample proof that she led a career steeped in ideas that would benefit everyday people.
Alexandria Orcasio-Cortez is a fiery, opinionated woman who fights for the ideals of what she believes to be true. I, honestly, don’t feel as if I share political ideology with her but watching her speak it’s impossible to ignore she holds deep passion for helping women and individuals in need.
Jasmine Crockett sprang up new to me this year. She’s a spirited, vocal woman who stands up for small ideas in big states. Hello, Texas, I’m talking to you. Her thoughts and expectations shared at the Chicago DNC 2024 breathed air and life into otherwise stale, hollow spaces forgotten or ignored in modern politics.
These are the formidable women I ponder when I’m alone deciding what kind of woman I strive to be. What I believe I can accomplish as an individual. Each of them has made her own mark on American society stepping out into the light through her promising career.
